I somehow managed to lose my phone on Saturday night.  One of my scenarios is it fell in the river and is toast, but it's possible it is on the ground somewhere mocking me for not seeing it.  I had Lookout Mobile installed on it and it has a Find My Phone feature.  If I do not have GPS turned on, I keep it off to save battery, will this feature turn it on when I attempt to locate it?  Several attempts later that night could not connect to it.  It hasn't connected to my Exchange server since prior to even arriving at the river, so in most likelihood it is swimming with the fishes.  Are there any other means to find a lost phone?  Any good apps for tracking it?  I even checked out Google Latitude but without GPS on it was moot.

Lookout will show location and allow you to send a loud alarm to aid in finding it.

I realize that, but with the GPS off, will it turn it on?  If not does it use cell tower triangulation or best guess based on connected cell tower?  It was unable to connect to the phone at all so this is probably a moot point, but for future reference...
