Installed Handcent and 2 font packs and configured (no joy with the Handcent keyboard) and had a 50 minutes texting session w my daughter (28 messages) - after 9 hours running 22%.

Not too bad but I hope they are right about performance improving after 4-5 full charges. The plan is to run it down to about 10% each day and see how things look.

Til next time...

**1750 Battery Test Updated**

End of Day 1

Connected to WIFI and an e-mail coming in every 10-15 minutes for nearly 8 hours.
15 more minutes of music thru the car radio, two 10 minute phone calls
(oh and another 5 minutes of Coloroid waiting for the wife).
All services (except Bluetooth) up and running continuously for 14.5 hours

The battery has slipped to 14% and is now crying to be put on the charger - so be it.

On to Day 2...

**1750 Battery Test Continued **

Day 2 - After charging for 9 hours again fired it up with WIFI, GPS, Google Sync still active. Battery at 95% at the start (using Battery Status Pro which is free).
At breakfast read 11 emails for 20 minutes - 92%.
Hopped in the car and went to work. Incredible played music through one of those cheap FM radio transmitter thingies for 25 minutes - 83%.
Sitting at work, no calls but connected to WIFI and an e-mail coming in every 10-15 minutes -

til next checkin...

Day 2

All services (except Bluetooth) up and running still.
No calls all day (1 text) but connected to WIFI and an e-mail coming in every 10-15 minutes still
Yikes! At 10 hours we're at 8% and imminent shutdown (CHARGE ME NOW!) and it's only 5:30.

If tomorrow is like this maybe I'll crack and shut down the full time GPS on day 4.

Hmmm indeed!

*** Interesting Sidenote *** walked by the phone at the 5 hour mark - fully charged

**1750 Battery Test Continued **

Day 3 - After charging overnight (see above) fired it up with only WIFI enabled. After looking at the last 2 days results it is obvious that if I want any kind of extended battery life I am going to have to do some kind of management so I decided to run the GPS only is I need it (rarely) and sync Google once a day for backup purposes. I'll leave the rest, including WIFI at work at least, on unless I find I have to shut them down.

Battery at 100%.

At breakfast read the usual # of emails. Got 2 short calls. Played Coloroid (ADDICTED!) for 20 minutes. After 5.5 hours 82%.

Due to today's task list and errands I am going to have to cheat today and recharge for an hour As I am going to be out for several hours w/o power access.

Once I am more familiar with move to work with this battery I'll knock that stuff off. Roll Eyes

Day 5 - After charging overnight (see above) fired it up with only mobile network and background data (not auto-sync) enabled.
Battery at 100% at 7:30 AM.

In summary -

Synced with Google in the AM once.
Turned on WIFI for 7.5 hours while at work,
Played Coloriod for about an hour throughout the day (I'm so ashamed...),
Received 8 5-15 minute phone calls,
Received an e-mail approximately every 20-30 minutes,
Played music through the cheap radio receiver in my car for approx. 45 minutes,

At 10:30 PM - Battery power 46%.

Think I can make this work!   Grin

**1750 Battery Test Continued **

Day 6 - After charging overnight (see above) fired it up with only mobile network and background data (not auto-sync) enabled.
Battery at 100% at 7:30 AM.

So now I feel silly, I read in the Battery Savers thread SikYou's comment about pushing E-mail and I looked at mine - check every 10 minutes! Never crossed my feeble mind - DOHH!

So... Final summary -

Turned DOWN E-Mail to check every 2 hours (it's my home account)
Synced with Google in the AM once.
Turned on WIFI for 7.5 hours while at work,
Played Coloriod for about an hour throughout the day (I'm so ashamed...),
Received 3 5-15 minute phone calls and 1 55 minute phone call,
Received a few e-mails approximately every 2 hours,
Played music through the cheap radio receiver in my car for approx. 45 minutes,

At 9: PM - Battery power 73%.

Under these conditions should be able to make it last 2 days!

Hope all this info was helpful to someone *whew*.

Seriously?!?! This info is crazy helpful. I mean, not so much for me because I have a handful of batteries and I just swap like a mad man all day long, but this is good stuff.

Thanks for all that info. I found the Innocell 1750mAh Slim Extended Life Battery on Amazon for $41 with free shipping if you don't mind waiting a week or so. I just ordered it and I don't have my phone yet (Fedex says I'll get it a day early on the 28th). I'm stoked.

I am curious, does the HTC Droid Incredible 2 use the same battery as the HTC Eris? They look very similar.

Thanks!
