Just wondering what hard cases you recommend for the DINC or even a lighter case that thoroughly protects. I got a body glove case with my phone yesterday & it was already broken at the top...seemed like it would be easy to break putting on & off as thin as it is in parts...oh well verizon is giving me a refund for it...didn't want to take a chance...love the DINC though...thx

I have the shell/holster combo it's on the verizions website it's a rubberized case on the phone then a holster in which it slips into with a clip to hook on your belt or put in your pocket it works for me you might check it out

Anyone know if they make a case with a kickstand? I have one for my ipod and it's fantastic on planes when watching movies.

You have to be very careful with this holster..the droid will slide out of it when in a horizontal postion..took mine back..

True....poor design. The phone doesnt really "snap" into place, so with something as simple as a brush of your elbow if kept on your hip, the phone will fall out when used in the horizontal position. Also, the back cover leaves the top of the phone exposed for access to the power button and headphone jack. In the event it does fall out of the holster (and it will), the phone will likely incur some damage...found that out the hard way. Save your money and go with a cheaper silicone case that protects the ENTIRE phone.

I have the Seidio hard case.  Only had it a couple of days, but snaps tightly and seems pretty durable.  Only if you order the 'red' it is really more of a burgundy, although a nice burgundy.

I just received the Kraken by Trident.  It's built exactly like the Otterbox "Defender" case but it's less expensive.  I paid $29.95, shipping included, which is worth it for a good case.  It has a hard interior polycarbonate shell (same as Otterbox) with an outer silicone rubber shield, double enforced corners and a built in screen protector which works really well.  No bubbles!  Plus it comes in 5 different colors.  It does add bulk but the phone is completely protected.  It also has an Audio jack extension included in the box.  I do a bit of quad riding and was concerned about my phone bumping around in the storage compartment.  Now there will be no worries!

I'm using the Smoke TPU Candy Skin, which is a combo between a hard and soft case. The back is semi-transparent hard plastic, while the sides/top/bottom are this TPU material (thermoplastic polyurethane) which is similar to rubber. This material also protrudes about 1 mm or so in front and around the screen, so if the phone drops it will be difficult for the screen to get damaged. I feel very well protected with the case, and I have dropped the phone from 3 feet with it on (not on purpose) and it was fine (admittedly on thin carpet, but still). It feels great in my hands and adds minimal weight to the device. Really a great case.

I have tried one other case, which was thin plastic with a soft-touch finish (similar to the OEM battery door) and I did not feel any safer with the case on. It felt really cheap and ended up braking after about a week just from me taking it on and off to switch batteries. I also paid $7 for it including a screen protector, so I wasn't expecting much. I might want to try a straight silicon case, as I have one of those on my iPod and I really like the feel of it. I have also dropped my iPod a bunch of times on the hard floor and it just bounces like a ball. So I know the silicon cases do work. However the ones I've seen for the Incredible all look really generic and not nearly as cool as the TPU case I have now.

i have the Speck case that verizon sells. it is a hard plastic shell with a rubberized lining which protects the phone well. i feel pretty safe with this case and it is still comfortable to hold. it does fit snugly though, so if you switch batteries often, it may not be your best option. the case doesnt wear down from taking it off, its just difficult to do at times.

I have the Otter Box Commuter and love it. Only one gripe about it is I wish they made the sides a little rougher, case is a little slick. I haven't dropped it yet, but I am waiting for it to happen

I thought it was just me.  I thought the same upon receiving my commuter case. Everyone seems to love the case but I was afraid it was going to slip right out of my hand so I took it off and it's collecting dust.  I have the speck case too.  Like it but it's rather hard to remove.  Still love my Kraken case but it's too bulky for every day use.  My favorite to date is my Incipio case.  Two layers like the Otterbox commuter but their outter layer isn't slick and the inner layer is like silicone.  It feels very protective.

I bought the Incipio Case.  It has a rubber glove then it fits into  'like' an almost there case.  Not much weight or width fits in both my carrying cases (one horizontal, one vertical).   No complaints & I was at another post here that shows the link to Seidio that has an extended battery (1750mah-$49.99), that's slim & fits into the stock back cover of the Inc 2.  Hope this helps.

Check out body glove's hard case with belt clip. the belt clip doubles as a kickstand.
