being a budding astronomer and really liking the google sky map app, i decided to download it on my 3 day old incredible...

ive got it on the phone now but i have a little icon in the upper left corner of the phone...

it looks like 2 dissimilar length gray lines (stacked up like a wedding cake) with a white v or down arrow on top.  iv already run the app and played with it (have a separate issue to bring up) but the symbol wont go away...

Hmm...wish I could see what the icon was. I have skymaps as well, however, I have never seen an icon after or while running it. Just did a test and don't see anything. I wonder if it is another app or something. Within most apps in the settings there is some sort of display icon check box...I just don't know which one is giving you that on the bar at the top...any chance you can post a picture?

It is a notification of some sort so pull down the notification bar and see what it says it is.
